SLTunes Add-On This free add-on for SLTunes provides a simple in-game “favorites” interface, as well as an attractive radio body to attach to SLTunes. Naturally if you already have SLTunes you will appreciate and prefer using iTunes to manage your favorite radio stations as playlists, however if you want to provide an in-game jukebox to your customers or guests this add-on will give them the option of browsing favorites set through it.
This add-on is free to
SLTunes owners, and is fully copyable, modifiable and transferable! To
get your copy visit my store in-game A set of attractive speakers is also included in the package. Instructions – Setup: Link the SLTunes prim (radio) TO the Favorites prims! The last link should be the center button, and show the favorites script in inventory. If you don’t know how to link objects, step-by-step instructions are available here at the Second Life Knowledge Base. Note that if SLTunes is deeded to group land, you must also deed the add-on to the group to allow it to link. Instructions – Adding to Favorites: Use iTunes to play a radio station on your land. When SLTunes has picked up the station name and you can hear the radio station playing in-game in Second Life, just click the main body of the add-on. You will get a dialog box, with two buttons: ‘Add’ and ‘Remove’. Click ‘Add’. Further Notes: For those of you that script, the add-on shows you how to create mods for SLTunes; the favorites system is simple and can be extended (user-defined categories, a larger number of favorites and so on). I am aware of a few club owners who are modifying SLTunes to supplement their DJ’ing in SL. If you are doing anything interesting, or want suggestions or help with your own mods, contact me in-game. |
