SLTunes: Getting Started Playing a Radio Station in iTunes
That is it! SLTunes will automatically set the Music URL on your land to the radio station playing in iTunes. You can close iTunes when you have set a station you like. Give iTunes, SLTunes and Second Life a minute to connect and synchronize. If after a little while, the station doesn't play, click here. Your SLTunes dialog should look something like this when you are successful:
Note that if there is no text next to "Song:", it will still work, and the song text will still (usually) come up when the station plays the next song. But How Do I Play a Radio Station in iTunes? On the left of iTunes there is a series of icons, one saying "Radio". Click on "Radio". You will get categories of music you can explore. Pick a station, then click the "Play" button.
See the areas marked in red. There is more extensive information on playing radio stations in iTunes here, if you want to know how to organize stations into "playlists" and so on. You may want to share your radio with a special someone, or perhaps you rent land and want to give your tenant access. There are two kinds of permissions you can set:
To add someone's name, just click on "Full" or "Limited" and add their name to the list. Be sure and check spelling! The original owner of the radio always will have full permission to use the radio, whether they are on the list or not. Their permission can never be removed. How Do I Use the Favorites Button? When you click the "Favorites" button on you SLTunes
radio, you will get a dialog with the current station playing, and a
"Next" and "Previous" buttons. Until you add stations, these buttons
will not change the station.
